My name is Amaya Gray and I’m a recent Design and Production graduate from CSU, Fullerton. I first got involved with theatre in my freshman year of high school, gravitating towards the design aspect and loving the idea of creating new worlds, especially with old stories. As I moved through my high school experience, I crewed several plays, responsible for different roles. The challenge of designing and building, the rush of working backstage, and the utter satisfaction and joy of the curtain closing on a successful run was enough to hook me for life.

I first visited Fullerton to participate in the Fullerton College Tech Olympics. That experience was enough to sell me, I enrolled in the Fall of 2021 and transferred to CSUF after two years. Now, as a recent graduate, I aim to continue my Scenic and Technical Design passions by gaining hands on experience in the industry I’ve loved for nearly a decade. Eventually I hope to complete a Masters program in Education so that I may pay it forward by helping young minds explore the many possibilities that Theatre has to offer. Through my studies, I’ve also found a love for Graphic Design and Marketing.
